Curso de espanhol e serviço voluntário ou trabalho social

Desde que Nueva Lengua começou temos recebido pessoas maravilhosas que não só queriam aprender espanhol e conhecer o país, como também queriam ajudar as pessoas necessitadas.

É por isso que agora oferecemos o curso de espanhol e serviço voluntário a nossos estudantes. O trabalho social se realiza em convenio com La Granja, que é um lugar pertencente a uma fundação sem fins lucrativos que desenvolve vários projetos de impacto social que consideramos importantes para a sociedade.

O trabalho voluntário em La Granja não é somente muito gratificante, mas também permite ao estudante praticar o espanhol com crianças, professores e outros profissionais que trabalham nesse lugar.

La Granja tem vários campos de ação nos quais o estudante poderá oferecer sua colaboração na medida do possível, os campos de ação são: 

• La Granja tem uma creche para crianças carentes de para niños de escasos recursos económicos.  Muitos das crianças chegam desnutridas e por isso  na creche recebem uma alimentação balanceada.  
                                  
  
• La Granja oferece às meninas adolescentes que vivem em um orfanato relacionado com a fundação a possibilidade de aprender a realizar alguns trabalhos domésticos e agrícolas para motiva-las a serem auto-suficientes em um momento de suas vidas em que estão próximas a maioridade e sairão do orfanato.

La Granja oferece a pessoas com problemas mentais a possibilidade de se sentirem úteis realizando alguns serviços de jardinagem. Essas pessoas também fazem parte de uma instituição de saúde mental relacionada com La Granja. 

• La Granja tem uma bela  casa central, que foi doada por uma família, e pode ser alugada por empresas  ou pessoas para  eventos sociais. O dinheiro do aluguel ajuda a cobrir os gastos das múltiplas atividades realizadas por essa fundação.

My vacation in Bogotá Colombia is one of the finest I’ve had in many years because of the volunteer program offered to students while studying Spanish here at Nueva Lengua Escuela de español Universidad de la Sabana.

I volunteered in a Charity called La Granja. The program gave me the opportunity to work with two groups of children. The first group range in age from 2 to 4 years old. The second group are girls ranging in age from 14 to 17 years old.

Even though my ability to communicate effectively in Spanish was limited, the management and Staff of the farm have been extremely helpful and considerate. They know I want to be of help so they have been more than willing to help me accomplish that.

I have enjoyed helping the smaller children play games, work puzzles and use the playground equipment.

The older girls are indeed young ladies so I treat them as such, consequently we have a great time using both English, which they are studying and the Spanish I am learning at the University.

They are very enthusiastic about learning English, so during the time I accompany the girls when they feed the rabbits, plant vegetables and various fruit products I help them with their English which they seem to appreciate.

We all laugh a lot as we struggle to communicate with each other about our lives and dreams for the future.

There is much more I could say about how much I’ve enjoyed the Spanish course at the University and the volunteer program.
